The Study China Programme is funded by the UK Government. The Government
covers the costs of accommodation for the duration of the programme,
organised airport pickup and drop off, tuition of language courses, and activities
and associated trips.

The Programme

Study China is your chance to participate in one of the UK's longest running and most popular outward mobility programmes. Study China is designed to both provide you with a unique insight into living and studying in China, but also an opportunity to acquire new, and develop existing, skills to help enhance your employability.

Study China receives over 3 applications for every place, so it is a competitive programme. From submitting your application, throughout the pre-departure phase, the programme itself, and after graduation, you are expected to be engaged and willing to represent Study China, the University of Manchester, the UK and NI government, your host university, and home institution with distinction. In turn, Study China will provide you an exciting opportunity to enhance your degree and CV, and will fund your accommodation, tuition, excursions, pastoral support, and transport.

Study China is committed to supporting your global mobility, to help build a generation of internationally minded, culturally sensitive, and rounded graduates. Your degree course, home institution, or social background should not pose a barrier to you engaging with this exciting summer programme, and we warmly welcome your applications to Study China.
