The political and cultural heart of China, Beijing has a rich history that’s mirrored in its spectacular palaces, temples and parks. It is a city of contrasts; modern and futuristic buildings and neon-lit avenues coexist with narrow hutongs and courtyards. Beijing is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China and is now the country’s second largest city. Famous for iconic buildings and landmarks such as the Bird’s Nest, Water Cube, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, the city offers a wide range of social and cultural activities, as well as wonderful cuisine, typified by the world famous Peking Duck.

The Study China programme will provide you with instruction in language, culture, and history, as well as provide you with many opportunities to experience this megacity, home of 7 UNESCO world heritage sites.
