If you experience any difficulty locating the meeting point, or your flight is delayed, please ring the above staff.
Once you have passed through security and baggage reclaim (estimated to take up to 1.5 hours dependent on volume of passengers) please proceed to the meeting point where an Airport Liaison will meet you for your pre-booked shuttle bus service.
Terminal 1 – Arrival Hall for International flights

Action to take if you miss your scheduled shuttle bus:
Please ring the Airport Liaison; they will need to know if you are either:
Taking the next scheduled shuttle bus (09.00/11.00/13.00/15.00/17.00)
You will instead make the journey independently
The Airport Liaison needs to know your estimated time of arrival at the University. They can also offer you support over the phone if you are struggling with making any aspect of the journey independently.
You can take a taxi directly to the University, see instructions below - you will be responsible for funding this journey - estimated cost 200 RMB – 300 RMB (£20-£30)
Taking a taxi to Host University Accommodation from Shanghai Pudong Airport:
The charge will be around 200 RMB – 300 RMB (£20-£30), you will be responsible for funding the journey. Depending on traffic, the journey will take between 45 minutes to 1.30 hours.
Only take a taxi from the official taxi rank at Shanghai Pudong Airport, this will be clearly signed.
If you are struggling to locate the official taxi rank, ask at the information point.
You may be approached in the airport terminal by unlicensed taxi drivers, do not stop to talk with them, continue walking and respond with a firm and polite ‘no thank you’.
When the taxi sets off, make sure the meter is running.

Upon arrival at accommodation:
You will be welcomed by staff from East China Normal University upon arrival at your accommodation.
Depending on your arrival time you may also be met in reception by the Programme Supervisor.
Please locate the information board/folder in the reception area; this will contain instructions for Sunday 11 August.
You will need to check into your accommodation at the reception.
The remainder of Sunday 11 August is your personal free time, all scheduled activities will commence on Monday 12 August.
Please make sure you have been registered as having arrived by arrival staff. If you have not had your name ticked off a list, find a member of staff to register your arrival.
This is very important, particularly if you have taken a different shuttle bus from that which you originally registered for.
