About the Study China Student Hub

Welcome to our new Study China Student Hub. This website supplements the applicant-portal (studychina.org.uk) and will provide you with all the necessary information you need in the months leading up to your departure to, and arrival in, China.

For the first time, we have centralised all essential guides, instructions, and documentation in one place, in order to make your Study China preparation more accessible and interactive.

Additionally, we are continually developing and adding to the gallery, video blogs, and student testimonies, to give you a better understanding of what to expect on the programme.

With everything you need in one place, you can tour the Study China Hub in your own time, and dip back in when you need to look something up, or require some guidance. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, try the key-word search function on the FAQs tab, but of course, we are always happy to receive your emails and calls too. All of our contact details are below, and please do engage with our social media presence as well.

Please visit us regularly, as it is on the Study China Student Hub where we will post updates and remind you of key deadlines.

WHAT WE DO
Spend three weeks living in one of China’s most vibrant cities and studying at one of China’s leading universities.

Study China provides a unique outward mobility opportunity for students to develop their global mind-set, employability, and soft-skills.

Study China is a three week language, culture, and heritage programme, managed by the University of Manchester, delivered in collaboration with partner Chinese institutions, and generously funded by the UK government’s Department for Education and Northern Ireland’s Department of the Economy.

Study China is open to UK and EU students of any degree or level, at any higher education institution in England or Northern Ireland.

The Study China programme includes:

  • 40 hours of Chinese language tuition

  • Interactive culture classes and excursions

  • Visits to historic landmarks

  • A day spent with a Chinese family

  • Free time to explore independently

  • Opportunities to meet, and live alongside, students from across the UK, EU, and China

Study China is committed to promoting social mobility, the importance of internationalisation and raising awareness of off-setting the environmental impact,  as well as measuring the impact of Study China and building an alumni network.
